Our image was inspired by the San Junipero episode of Black Mirror. In this episode two women fall in love and decide to upload their consciousness to a virtual reality where they can live together forever. We employ darker notes with soft blue/violet layering and neon shades of pink, orange, and yellow. It’s very much a club and late night feeling. There is a feeling of excitement, uniqueness, and sexiness.
OUR BRAND IMAGE
A group of queer, hip, urban, and diverse women from all walks of life. They are very engaged on social. On an outing typically they travel with larger group of women, together. They love having unique experiences and typically party until late at night. Our parties start late and end late sometimes even commencing at 11pm and continuing on until 4am, venue permitting. After the party typically our audience will get together for an afterparty. Most of our members live downtown and have incomes above Canadian median.
They have good spending power and are able to spend $20 on our tickets as well as on average $100 per person at the bar. Our audience member is loyal and the core group of 300+ members attends most of our events. We see the same people often. When a fan becomes a member of Bad Habits they are fiercely loyal to the brand. This is because there is a feeling of pride and belong associated to a brand that empowers and supports the LGBTQ community, of which they are members. We stand for something freedom, acceptance, and belonging, and so our members stand for us.
OUR UNIQUE APPROACH TO MARKETING
Technologically advanced, Bad Habits Social is doing the queer scene like no one else before. We have a sophisticated digital marketing strategy of growing our database and increasing engagement among our core members. We strive to execute across all channels in a digital way. We drive registrations with eventbrite which allows us to check people in digitally and monitor attendance and ticket flows. We are able to integrate our channels together so that you can find our website is linked to eventbrite and our social. We manage and maintain and email subscription service where we send invitations and exclusive access to our events. As such our emails have some of the highest engagement and read rates well above average. We also heavily invest in social advertising including Facebook and Adwords.
OUR SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY
We create unique content on a regular basis, and we continue to grow our followers through a combination of smart social marketing and social media advertising. We have developed a series of hashtags and follow specific influencers to find our target audiences. We have grown our following quickly and continue to amass followers.
